Our beloved Coach Hobie Billingsley, one of the world’s most influential figures in diving, is turning 90 years old! Join swimming and diving teammates from the Hobie Billingsley era in Bloomington, June 22-25, 2017 to celebrate the legendary coach's 90th birthday. IU's current coaches, swimmers and divers and campus luminaries will be on hand to assist in the festivities. Please see below for a schedule of events and registration information.

Thursday, June 22
Welcome Reception and Hobie Film Festival at DeVault Alumni Center. 6 p.m.–8 p.m.
Gather at Nick’s English Hut, 8–10 p.m.
Friday, June 23
Presentation by Vice President Emeritus Terry Clapacs and Indiana University Foundation President Emeritus Curt Simic at DeVault Center. 11 a.m., Followed by lunch featuring keynote by IU Diving Coach Coach Drew Johansen.
Hobie Billingsley’s 90th Birthday Celebration Dinner
- 6:30–7:30 p.m. cash bar reception
- 7:30 p.m. dinner service,
- 8:30 p.m. program emceed by Luis Nino De Rivera and featuring Indiana University Swimming Coach Ray Looze, at the DeVault Center Kelly Dining Room.

Diving Clown Show at outdoor pool or SRSC, 10–11 a.m.
I Association Golf Outing at the Indiana University Golf Course

For those looking for a more economical lodging option, we are also offering a room block at the Wendall Willkie Quadrangle. Willkie is located at 150 N. Rose Ave. Bloomington, Ind., on the Indiana University Campus. Willkie offers single room adult housing with a shared private bath for 49.90 +12% sales tax. A linen package is provided and contains pillow, pillow case, sheets, blanket, two towels and a washcloth. Willkie is a residence hall so other amenities such as maid service, TV, coffee maker and toiletries are not included. You may make your reservations here.
